Note: Team is looking for a mid level, team member, developer. Ideally, 5-10 yrs experience. Group is willing to hire C++ or Java developer. It's also a plus if person has some Python.

Commodities Exchange / Order Connectivity Developer

Leveraging and extending from a mature and proven low-latency, order-routing framework.
Creation and customization of synthetic orders to meet specific requirements in various markets.
Infrastructure and applications to improve order/execution throughput, latency and resilience.
Ensure consistent functional and technical design and deliver clear, concise code.
Full project life cycle–requirements analysis, design, development, testing and production rollout.

We write cross-platform in Java and use a variety of 3rd party products, such as 29 West LBM and WebSphere MQ.

About You

You are innovative, resourceful and self-motivated. You have had at least 5 years of relevant experience with Java/Spring and/or C++, object-oriented design. You have had at least three consecutive successful years at a financial institution doing similar work in any business line and have developed areas of significant technical and business expertise.

You have been exposed to some of the following: smart order routing, crossing/internalization of order flow, order management, exchange connectivity, FIX protocol, real-time market data.

You are an efficient programmer who provides an excellent level of service for your production environments and can debug and troubleshoot ambiguous issues. You can multitask and work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines.

You have at least a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, although an M.S. is preferred.

You are adept at other languages such as Python or Perl.

Location: New York or London.
