Database / Datawarehouse Developer
Financial Company/ CT, NYC or NJ

This position in the the core RMBS Modeling team.
Person will be responsible for Database and Datawarehouse Development on SQL Server.

Ideally person will also have experience with OLAP (but not required). Person would also ideally have C# or VB.NET (but not required). C++ and Java also a plus.

This position will focus on the developing data solution for MBS. It's in modeling team, so Mgr wants PhD or at least an advanced degree in Math, Physics or comparable. This position will have Quant / Modeler track. Ideal person would have a recent PhD and a few years of database and technical work. Person does not have to have RMBS experience.

Spec:
Title: Mortgage/ABS quantitative data analyst

Description: The mortgage/abs quantitative data analyst is responsible for developing and extending the Mortgage Surveillance and Performance Data warehouse.
This product is a data & analytics solution used by Mortgage/ABS Trading, Mortgage/ABS Quantitative Analysis and Portfolio Risk Management.

Requirements:

Solid mathematical skills
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics. (M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred)
3 to 5 years experience SQL Programming, including SQL scripts, stored procedures and query performance optimization.
3 to 5 years experience with a Loan-Level Mortgage Data product such as Core Logic Loan Performance or Lewtan ABSNet Loans.
RDBMS administration skills are highly desirable (engine tuning, device and storage layout, import/export, ETL).
OLAP and multidimensional database experience is highly desirable (SQL Server Analysis Services, or Oracle BI)
Reporting Services development experience is highly desirable (SQL Server Reporting Services, or Oracle Reports)
Object-oriented programming skills are highly desirable (one or more of .Net, C++, or Java).
