Senior Database Developer w/ PhD

client wants someone w/ PhD and understand of database development theory, pls see spec below. Person must have done cutting edge research work in PhD program and then applied that knowledge in real world.

Education Level : PhD in Computer Science

This senior software / database developer position within core business unit of the bank which includes responsibilities of design and development of a database which will hold many types of business data ranging from trades to documents. The DataStore will be used by a variety of applications in many areas of the firm, and will employ cutting edge database technologies.
The applicant must have a very good command of Computer Science and should have very solid development skills with large systems experience. The role will include
1. development of new algorithms from research papers as proof of concept and taking the code fully to production,
2. work with team to design and analyze database architecture,
3. performance, scalability and reliability analysis
Skills Required:
1. Solid implementation skills and experience in C++ with a wide variety of projects
2. Knowledge of database systems theory including relational algebra
3. Knowledge of networks/messaging
4. Knowledge in distributed systems and algorithms
5. Experience in software engineering design patterns
6. Strong communication skills
