client wants a senior tech writer. someone with 10+ yrs exp. Person must have strong technology background and they must come from the financial industry. It would be particularly attractive if they had experience with regulatory stuff. client only wants person with strong pedigree for this role, eg: good professional and academic credentials and most tech writers do not offer this so might be more likely to find tech writer who transitioned from being a technologist or business analyst.


Position Description:
Develop and maintain documentation on the Firm's proprietary next-generation application platform by working with the software development team. This platform, currently under development, will provide underlying infrastructure for many types of core business applications across the entire Firm's Institutional Securities division, including systems for trading, pricing, risk calculation, etc.

Documentation includes, but not limited to: proprietary programming language guide, application programming interface guide, end-user guide, tutorials, training curriculum material, FAQs, technical forum summaries

Requirements:
Experience with web-based documentation creation and maintenance, especially on wiki-based sites, is highly desirable.

As the technology is proprietary and cutting-edge in nature, experience with software development is highly desirable.
Technical trainer experience is a plus.
