This proprietary trading firm with International Headquarters is looking to establish a US presence in the Southern USA. They SPECIALIZE in High Frequency Equities and Futures. Have a VERY FAST platform with less than 100 micro second latency.
The Southern USA office is relatively small, but GROWING and the firm has a road map to grow the US office to compete with LARGER players in the black, high frequency trading space. For someone COMING FROM one of the larger prop firms it would be an OPPORTUNITY to work in a more entrepreneurial and probably, more collaborative environment. The firm is HAPPY TO HELP with relocation for those who are genuinely interested in moving to the area.
They want to hire C++ developers (AT LEAST 2-3 in 2010) preferable out of competitors such as ATD, Getco, Citadel. They want experienced C++ developers with at least 5 years, but PREFERABLE closer to 10 years of experience w/ STRONG expertise in: STL, Threading, Boost, Sockets.
They REALLY WANT experience in: High Speed Connections for either Market Data or Exchange Connectivity or OMS.
PREFERENCE for C++ developer with experience in C# which is being used mostly for analytics, and other areas where speed is NOT an issue (but not a requirement).
They will consider out of industry C++ developer with right raw skills to develop, high throughput, low-latency C++ UNIX based systems. Comp range of 100 -200K (or MORE for domain experts). REMEMBER this is Southern USA, FAR cheaper than NYC or Chicago.
