Teradata Application DBA

Large Financial Company / NYC

Senior, Team Member level Application DBA.
125K base +bonus.


The DBA will work closely with the development teams to implement optimal performance solutions.This person will also be responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on the new system.

***Teradata***

Utilities:

Multiload, fastload, fastexport, Tpump

Development:

Expertise in writing stored procedures/bteq utilities, macros etc.

Performance and Tuning.

Expertise in debugging complex queries.

Expert into TD explain utility.

Extensive knowledge of the Teradata system architecture.

Familiar with utilities like Teradata Manager and DBArtisan.

Must have expertise in identifying performance issues and implementing optimal solutions.

Scripts:

Must have excellent scripting skills in Perl and shell.

Data Modeling:

Must be familiar with at least one data modeling i.e. Erwin

Sybase/DB2

2-3 years of extensive experience in following areas

creating stored procedure and views.

Performance and tuning.

Identifying problem queries and processes on the database servers.
